Terms of Use · September 20, 2026
The short version,
then the details.
Siriology.com is an independent site about Apple, Siri and the experience of using them. Reading it, and using it, means you accept the terms below. They are written to be read, not to be skipped.
Who publishes this
Siriology.com is published by VAULTCAST, INC. Questions, corrections and requests go to p@siriology.com.
We are independent
This site is not affiliated with, authorized by, sponsored by, or endorsed by Apple Inc. Apple, Siri, Apple Intelligence and other Apple marks belong to Apple Inc. They are used here only to identify and discuss the products this site is about, which is commentary, criticism and reporting.
The illustration on the home page is satire. It is an opinion expressed as artwork, © Payman Pirnazar, and it depicts no real event.
What this site is, and is not
Everything here is opinion, commentary and research about publicly available information. It is offered in good faith and may be wrong, incomplete, or overtaken by events. It is not professional, legal, financial or technical advice, and nothing here creates a relationship of advice between you and us.
Sources are cited so you can check them yourself. If something here is inaccurate, write and say so — corrections are welcome and will be made.
Using what is here
The writing, the research and the artwork belong to their authors. You are welcome to quote passages with attribution and a link. Republishing a whole article, or using the artwork commercially, needs permission first — ask.
Please do not use this site to break a law, to attempt to gain access to anything not offered publicly, or to interfere with its operation for other people.
Links to other places
This site links to other sites — sources, social accounts, Apple’s own pages. Those places have their own terms and their own ideas about privacy, and we do not control them.
No warranty, and the honest limit of it
The site is offered as it is, without warranty of any kind. We do not promise it will always be available, always be correct, or always be up to date. To the fullest extent the law allows, VAULTCAST, INC. is not liable for loss arising from your use of this site. Some jurisdictions do not allow that limit, in which case it applies only as far as it legally can.
Privacy
What this site records about your visit, why, and for how long is set out in plain English on a page of its own: What this site records. There is no advertising here, and nothing about your visit is sold or handed to a third-party analytics service.
Updates by email
You can ask to hear when something new is published. That list is run on Substack, under the name siriology.substack.com, and subscribing is entirely your choice.
What that means plainly: your email address is held by Substack, not by this site, and their terms and privacy policy apply to it. You confirm the subscription from your own inbox, every message carries a one-click unsubscribe, and leaving takes effect immediately. We will never add an address that did not ask to be added, never sell or rent the list, and never use it for advertising.
If you tell us what happened
There is a form on this site for describing something that happened to you — what you tried, what you expected, what you actually got, and what worked or could have made it better. It is for the times something worked as well as the times it did not. Using it is entirely your choice, and everything published here stays free to read whether or not you ever fill it in.
Your words stay yours. You keep ownership of what you write. By sending it you give us permission to read it and, only if you tick the box saying so, to publish it on this site. Both boxes start unticked — one for publishing the account, one for publishing your display name with it, and a display name does not have to be your real name — and nothing you send appears anywhere unless you tick them. Nothing is published automatically in any case; a person reads every submission first.
You can change your mind. Write to p@siriology.com and ask for your submission to be removed, whether or not it was published. You do not need to give a reason.
Please leave out private messages, account details, and anything that identifies another person. Somebody quoted in your account never came here and cannot agree to anything, and protecting them is not something you should have to think about after the fact — so we ask before, and we remove it if it arrives anyway. Also keep out anything you are under an obligation to keep confidential — a support ticket is usually fine, an employer’s internal document is not. Please also keep it truthful, and we may decline to publish anything at all.
If we do publish it, how it will appear is not settled yet — and we would rather say that than pretend otherwise. Your account may appear in full, shortened, as an extract, quoted inside an article, or gathered together with other people’s; an obvious typo may be corrected; and anything already published may later be changed or taken down, by us or because you asked.
What will not change is the substance. We will not alter what you actually said, and we will not make you appear to have said something you did not — this site exists to argue that people deserve to be represented accurately, and it would be a poor argument if we did the opposite here. If it matters to you that your words appear exactly as written, say so in your account and we will either honor that or not publish it.
Sending a submission does not create any obligation on us to reply, to publish, or to act. Giving an email address is optional and is explained on the what this site records page.
Changes
These terms may change as the site grows. The date at the top of this page is the date of the current version, and a change applies from the day it appears here.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, in the United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
Written in plain English on purpose. If any part of it is unclear, that is a fault worth fixing — write and ask.
